What it does
Opening Bell indexes every paper in each Monday NBER batch and selects up to five eligible cross-field signals. Each edition can also name one Daily Signal pick whose method, measurement, or implication deserves another look.
What it does not do
It does not store or redistribute working-paper PDFs, infer empirical results that are absent from public abstracts, rank authors, or present preliminary papers as settled evidence.
Current state
This private beta contains 2 complete Monday editions from 20 Jul 2026 through 27 Jul 2026. Automatic public publishing remains disabled until the metadata-use basis, domain, email authentication, and evaluation thresholds are complete.
